LCM Chair by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller – Early Edition from 1954 in Birchwood

LCM slipper chair made of curved birch plywood with a chromed metal frame, designed by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller in 1946. The Eames LCM (Lounge Chair Metal legs) is a true design classic. In terms of shape and construction, the chair was ahead of its time. The rubber shock mounts create a very comfortable seat; the backrest adjusts to your back, as it were. This is a very early version from a building in Rotterdam Hilligersberg furnished in 1954. The condition is good with normal signs of use and wear (see photos). The seat and back were once black lacquered and were once sanded and neatly varnished. These chairs were also sold in birch version. Material: iron chromed and bent birch plywood. Dimensions: h x w x d = 67 x 55 x 61 cm with a seat height of 39 cm. Set of four Danish butterfly chairs designed by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen in 1955. These butterfly chairs were made at Fritz Hansen in 1997. The condition of the chairs is still very good; they have been cleaned and fully serviced. The chairs have a curved beech seat and a chromed base with rubber protective caps on the legs. Dimensions: h x w x d = 80 x 50 x 52 cm and the seat height is 46 cm. The price is for the set of 4 pieces. Branded: Fritz Hansen, Design Arne Jacobsen, 1997 (see photo).

F&T Chair model 1728 by Rob Parry for Gelderland, 1950s

Frivolous F&T Rob Parry chair model 1728 designed for furniture industry Gelderland in 1953. A contrarian design with a frame of solid bar steel, a liberating alternative to the ‘Goed Wonen’ Living Standard. This variant of the F&T chair, originally made for wine merchant Ferwerda & Tieman chair, was shown at the Triennale in Milan in 1954. The condition is still good and original with normal traces of use (see photos). Remarkably, the original skai upholstery is still largely present. Frame and seat are structurally still very good. The back of the backrest has been reupholstered with black skai. Colour: black, yellow, grey and white. Dimensions: h x w x d = 84 x 44 x 51 cm and the seat height is 45 cm. SIS LIGHT – Light Solutions was founded in 1924 by Erich Lang and his father Karl Lang senior. The name SIS is derived from “Sirius” the brightest star in the night sky. Together they started a factory in the metal industry in 1924, focusing on mobile workstation lighting from the beginning. The programme gradually expanded to include scissor lamps, table lamps and telephone holders.

NX174 Wall Lamp by Philips, 1960s | Plastic shade On Wenge Wall Arms

Vintage Philips wall lamp Model NX174 E/00 from the 1960s; a plastic shade on wenge wood wall arms. This lamp is only listed in the 1963 catalogue, so it was only in production for a short time. The condition is still very good with some discolouration in the plastic. The lamp contains a Bakelite (E27) socket also suitable for energy-saving bulbs and/or LED bulbs. High Chair by Arne Vodder for Sibast, 1960s | Model 431, Rosewood

Arne Vodder armchair model 431 in solid rosewood and black leather designed for Sibast Furniture in the 1960s. Beautiful for its design and beautiful wood joints. The condition of this vintage chair is still good with normal signs of use and visible repairs. The backrest contains a professional repair of a tear in the leather (see photos). There is also some non-visible wear under the seat cushion (see photos). Otherwise, the chair has been fully checked and is in full structural order.
