Chartres Wall lamp by Willem van Oyen for Raak, 1960s

incl. BTW (indien van toepassing) volgens de margeregelingRaak Chartres wall lamp designed by Willem van Oyen for the Dutch lighting company Raak in the 60s. Just as the church windows of the Chartres are stained, so is this glass wall lamp, sculpture ‘melt-painted’. A coloured glass is fused to a reinforced glass base. No two sculptures are the same, but each one is as vital as a painting from the Cobra school. Sometimes there is some confusion about the designer of this lamp, but Willem van Oyen designed the lamp for Raak and Architect A. Lankhorst used it to furnish restaurant Dijkstra in Zwolle. The condition of this wall lamp is still very good. Dimensions: h x w x d = 37 x 20 x 12 cm. Material: glass and iron. Source: catalogue 7.
