Ztijl Quality Checked!

We have more than 20 years of experience buying and restoring furniture in our own workshop. When items arrive, we inspect their moving parts and construction. Faulty joints are repaired, and worn parts are replaced. Lamps are always inspected by a professional electrician in accordance with the standards of the period in which they were manufactured. Wiring is replaced as needed. We have a large stock of vintage parts. During restoration, we consult our documentation to bring the item as close as possible to its original condition—just as it was when it left the factory!

Many products are more than half a century old. As a result, signs of wear and discoloration may be visible to varying degrees. It is precisely this patina that gives the product its charm and tells its authentic story. During the restoration process, we face the choice of whether to perform a partial or complete restoration. In the case of a partial restoration of, for example, a sideboard, only the top is sanded (without damaging the veneer) and refinished. When reupholstering, the cushions are refilled and the furniture is reupholstered. We work with upholsterers who provide high-quality fabrics.
