Mies van der Rohe Coffee table MR (model 259) designed by Mies van der Rohe (1886 – 1969) in 1927 and made by Knoll since 1977. This table is from the 1980s and is still in very good condition. After training as a furniture designer, Mies van der Rohe went to work for Peter Behrens, where he met Walter Gropius and Le Corbusier. Mies van der Rohe not only designed buildings but also chairs and tables. One of his most famous furniture designs is the Barcelona chair designed for the World Exhibition in Barcelona in 1929.
