incl. VAT (if applicable) according to margin schemeIconic BKF Chair / Butterfly Chair designed by three Argentine architects, Jorge Ferrari Hardoy, Antonio Bonet & Juan Kurchan in 1938. This chair was originally called “BKF” Chair but was later named “Butterfly” Chair due to its shape. The letters refer to the surnames of its three designers. Together they formed the Austral Group, which designed the chair in 1938 for an apartment building in Buenos Aires. The first version was made at Artek-Pascoe in 1941. Because the chair was such a great success, Knoll took over production from 1946. In 1951, Knoll lost the rights and other manufacturers started making this design classic. This vintage BKF Butterfly Chair is from the 1970s and made of a black metal frame with a light brown suede seat. The suede seat was replaced (reupholstered) a few years ago. The condition is still good, one small stain on the seat (see photo). This chair can be partially dismantled for transport. Dimensions: h x w x d = 95 x 85 x 90 cm and the seat height is 33 cm.
