incl. VAT (if applicable) according to margin schemeDe Stijl side table model “634 Schroeder 1” designed by Gerrit Rietveld in 1922-23 and made at Cassina in 1980s. De Stijl is a Dutch art movement named after the magazine “De Stijl” founded in 1917, in which “balance and harmony” are very important. This divan table was specially designed for the Schröder House in Utrecht in 1922-23. Striking features of “De Stijl” are its (primary) bright colours and geometric shapes. This table was produced under licence by Cassina, Italy in 1980s. “De Stijl” is world-famous and was unprecedentedly modern for its time. This table is no longer in production. The condition is still good, due to age not quite squared anymore. Dimensions: h x w x d = 61 x 50 x 50 cm. Material: stained and varnished beech wood. Marked: Cassina and no. 686 (see photos) and the letter M reads (difficult to read) Meubelmakerij Rietveld, Adriaan van Ostadelaan 25. Source: book Gerrit T. Rietveld, Cassina 1981 and Book Rietveld’s Universum.
