Rietveld Crate chair designed by Gerrit Thomas Rietveld in 1934 and made by Cassina, 1980s. Marked and numbered: Cassina, Meubel Makerij Rietveld, Adriaan van Ostadelaan 25, no. 300. In 1934, Rietveld began experimenting with chairs made of wood used to make crates. Rietveld argued that chairs for transport were always packed in crates, which apparently consisted of stronger material than the chair itself. So why not use that material to make a chair. The standard sizes of the crate of wood quoted, as it were, the composition of the furniture. Material: Beech wood. Dimensions: h x n x d = 61 x 56 x 70 cm and the seat height is 28 cm. The condition is good with normal traces of use and wear. The construction is still excellent. Still with the original Cassina cushion, but this is a bit worn and the foam is not good anymore (see photo). The price is for the chair only, not the table. By default we use the margin scheme, a special tax regulation for used goods. All prices are vat included, but there is no vat amount mentioned on the invoice. Outside Europe we use the same prices. To compensate, we don't charge additional payment- and handling costs. Do you have a company with the right to deduct VAT? We can also create normal VAT-quotes and/of invoices. For companies within the Netherlands against 21% vat and for EU companies against 0% btw (an intra-Community supply requires a valid EU VAT-number). The normal vat-quote can be requested via de webshop or the contacttab. For Dutch companies the total amount including vat will be higher, because we will have to calculate and charge vat on the total amount. The vat excluded amount will be lower and makes this opportunity interesting.
