Dining Table and Chairs by Martin Visser for ‘t Spectrum
Rare set of six dining chairs upholstered in black saddle leather (model: se 06) and dining table (Model TE52) designed by Walter Antonis and Martin Visser for Spectrum in the ’60s. The dining table model TE52 is the same as table te51 but with a bigger table top (160 x 80 cm instead of 120 x 80 cm). The table has a metal frame (square tube in chrome and black) and a white Formica table top, designed by Martin Visser and Walter Antonis in 1961. The chairs are designed by Martin Visser in 1967 and have a metal frame and a black leather seat and back.
Considering its age this set still in very good condition. The tabletop has hardly any traces of use and the leather of the seats is still in very good used condition, no cracks in the leather (see photos). The dimensions of the table are as follows: h x w x d = 72 x 160 x 80 cm. The dimensions of the chairs are: h x w x d = 77 x 43 x 48 cm. The seat height is 44 cm and the seat depth is 40 cm. Martin Visser
Martin Visser (1922 2009) was a Dutch furniture designer. He became famous in the 60s by the design of his sofa BR 02.7 for furniture factory ‘t Spectrum in Bergeijk.
