VAT (if applicable) according to margin schemeRare Pierre Guariche coffee table “Prefacto” designed for Airborne in 1951. “Prefacto” represents a series of furniture designed by Pierre Guariche for Airborne in 1951, consisting of: a dining table, a chair, a coffee table, an ear armchair and a wall unit (see photo). Because these pieces of furniture were functional and had reduced dimensions, they were well suited for the small postwar apartments. This coffee table was made by Trefac who made furniture for Airborne at the time. From Trefac later arose the company Meurop, where Pierre Guariche started working from 1957 and became artistic director in 1960. The condition is very good; the solid oak top was probably re-sanded and varnished at some point. The tubular steel frame contains normal paint damage. Dimensions: h x w x d= 43 x 70 x 53 cm. Source: Book Pierre Guariche, page 161 and pages 84 to 99.
