The Chamsa is a hand-shaped symbol that in different cultures represents the protective hand of God or protection from misfortune. In Arabic, “chamsa” means five, similar to the Hebrew “chameesh.” It is also called “the hand of Miriam” (Jewish tradition), “the hand of Fatima” (Islam) or the hand of Mary (Christianity). This sturdy handmade table gives a calm and warm feel despite its hard materials. The base is made of black iron and the top is made of natural stone in various colours, semi-precious stones, pebble, silver and bronze inlaid in concrete.
