This vintage chair has a minimal look, lightweight, easy to clean, very durable, stackable and linkable. The Polyprop chair was launched after three years research and development. Polypropylene was invented in 1954, but this material was not used in the furniture industry. Robin Day and Hille researched the possibilities in order to make chairs with this new durable and cost-efficient material. They did this in collaboration with the British company Shell. Considering its age these chairs still in very good vintage condition, with normal traces of use and wear. Source: book seats in 1000, Taschen, page 387. Measurements: h x w x d = 74,5 x 55,5 x 50 cm. The seat height is 44 cm and the seat depth is 37 cm. The price is per piece.
