€ 8.450
incl. VAT (if applicable) according to margin schemeRare set of Mid-Century armchairs model “Marina” designed by Gerhard Berg for Stokke in 1960 and sold by Westnofa, Norway. These armchairs have been reupholstered with fabric from the Dutch company De Ploeg (Ploeg, Ploegwool 61 and Grape 68). Stokke furniture was sold all over the world by Westnofa. Westnofa was an export marketing company founded by the five largest furniture manufacturers (in Sunnmøre, Norway in 1954) to improve their competitiveness in the international market. Stokke was one of these five companies. The condition of these armchairs is still very good, partly due to the new upholstery. The frame has normal signs of use/wear consistent with age and has been fully checked and oiled. Dimensions men’s armchair: h x w x d = 98 x 83 x 88 cm and the seat height is 40 cm, dimensions women’s armchair: h x w x d = 83 x 83 x 82 cm and the seat height is 40 cm. Material: Teak wood and fabric from De Ploeg. Source: Book Gerhard Berg Mobeldesign, page 36, Stokke Catalogue and Scandinavian Airlines System SAS advertisement. Marked “Westnova Furniture, made in Norway” (see photo). The price is for the set.
