Beautifully desk designed and made by My Home, Bas van Pelt interior architecture The Hague in about 1958. This desk was bought from a lady in The Hague. Her parents bought this desk at the company Bas van Pelt, interior. According to the book My Home, Bas van Pelt (publisher 010) there was an exhibition in 1958 of the work of Carel Visser and Joost van Santen. They could very well be the designer. A picture from the book, page 44 is showing a similar desk. Considering its age this desk is still in good and original condition, wear consistent with age and use (see photos). Material: iron (black), teak and a formica veneered leaf. Source: Take my Home, Bas van pelt, publisher 010 pages 41 and 44. Measurements: h x w x d = 76 x 218 x 92 cm. Depth leaf 76 cm.
