Rare wall coat rack GW1 “toonladder” (Scale or Staff) designed by Coen de Vries for his company DEVO (Den Haag) in 1954. This coat rack was originally designed by Coen de Vries on the size of an inner door for a model home of Stichting Goed wonen in Weesp. This is the first version of this coat rack with round tube frame and clothes hooks of curved plastic wire. Later, Tjerk Reyenga made one modified / modified version in different sizes and flat metal hooks for the Pilastro company with a square tube frame. Tomade and Artimeta have taken this type (with square tube and metal hooks) into production later. This coat rack (the original version with round tube) is mounted on the wall with four screws and is extra rare because of the original hat rack which was an extra option at the time. The name scale or staff is self-explanatory, with curved metal hooks (notes) in the colors yellow and red.
Dimensions: h x w x d = 200 x 74 x 25 cm
Material: The frame is made of iron and the hooks of iron colored with plastic material around it.
Color: black, red and yellow
Condition: good, wear consistent with age and use / some discoloration of the coat hooks.
