Rare sleeping sofa designed by Louis van Teeffelen for Wébé in about 1960. The seat can be pulled forward really easy; so that this sofa becomes a one person bed. This Danish style designed sofa is made of teak and has been reupholstered with new foam, new webbing and high quality beautiful blue / brown mixed Ploeg upholstery (type: Walker 47). Wébé is a Dutch company from Beneden – Leeuwen (in Gelderland near Tiel), which opened in 1938. Louis Teeffelen was one of the major designers who worked at the furniture factory. Made in an edition of 150 items.
