Luzette L1510 Siemens & Schuckert pendant lamp from ca. 1910, an early and first-generation example. The mouth-blown opaline and satin glass provide a soft, even light diffusion. The metal clamping ring firmly holds both glass shades together and emphasizes the industrial character of the design.
The lamp was designed by Peter Behrens (1868–1940) and produced around 1910 by Siemens & Schuckert, affiliated with AEG in Berlin. This early example, manufactured before 1914, consists of two separate shades in mouth-blown white opaline glass and satin glass, held together by a metal band with brass set screws. Both glass parts are marked in the glass with the S&S monogram and L1510, where L stands for Leuchte and 1510 indicates the model number; this type number was used between 1909 and 1912. The wiring and socket have been renewed by a professional electrician and the current socket is grounded; the original socket can be supplied if desired. Executed in glass, copper, brass and metal. Dimensions: 32 × 32 × 47 cm (W×D×H); total height including chain 142 cm.
The condition of this pendant lamp is good, with visible patina on the metal consistent with its age. The glass shades are intact. The wiring and socket have been replaced; the original socket has been preserved.

10% DISCOUNT AT PICKUP When you choose to collect your order, you get a 10% discount, because it saves us packing and shipping. Another advantage is that you can inspect your purchase in real life and take the item with you when you like it. Most of the time we are in the store. Please let us know in advance on the order form, email or telephone. On Friday and Saturday between 13:30 and 17:00 we are in the warehouse. Check our website for exceptions. Once we know that you will visit, we reserve your purchase, usually three days. Please let us know if you want us to keep the item for a longer period of time. FREE SHIPMENT WITHIN THE NETHERLANDS AND TO ANTWERP, BRUSSELS, PARIS and BERLIN Shipment is for free within the Netherlands and to Antwerp, Brussels, Paris and Berlin. Postal packages within the EU are included in the webshop prices as well. If the items you choose are too big for a postal package, we can make you a custom quote. That is also the case for shipment outside the EU, we ship worldwide. Shipping costs will be calculated during the ordering process in our webshop. If you have specific wishes regarding the delivery of bigger items, like express delivery of the second floor, it is possible that we quote additional costs. MARGIN SCHEME, NORMAL VAT (B2B within the EU) AND EXPORT
All prices in our webshop are in euro's and VAT included (if applicable). By default we use the margin scheme, a special tax regulation for used goods. All prices are vat included, but there is no vat amount mentioned on the invoice. Outside Europe we use the same prices. To compensate, we don't charge additional payment- and handling costs.
Do you have a company with the right to deduct VAT? We can also create normal VAT-quotes and/of invoices. For companies within the Netherlands against 21% vat and for EU companies against 0% btw (an intra-Community supply requires a valid EU VAT-number). The normal vat-quote can be requested via de webshop or the contacttab.
For Dutch companies the total amount including vat will be higher, because we will have to calculate and charge vat on the total amount. The vat excluded amount will be lower and makes this opportunity interesting.
