Pernilla Lounge Chair with Ottoman by Bruno Mathsson for Dux – 1970s
Beautiful leather Pernilla lounge chair with ottoman designed by Bruno Mathsson for Dux in 1969. Bruno Mathsson designed the first version of this armchair in 1944. This is an improved version designed by Bruno Mathsson for Dux in 1969. The name Pernilla comes from the well-known lifestyle journalist Pernilla Turnberger who interviewed Bruno Mathsson in 1943 for the newspaper (Dagens Nvheter). Considering its age this vintage armchair is still in original and good condition, normal traces of use no cracks or holes in the leather. Small wear spot in the canvas of the ottoman (see photo’s). This easy chair is made of curved beech plywood, canvas and a leather pillow with foam. Marked: Dux (see pictures).
